‘In IT, practical cold fusion generators could, in theory, power entire data centers for next to no cost and provide power in locations far from the grid. And the existing power grid would, itself, be potentially obsoleted by fusion power generation. As for the impact on transportation ... imagine a car that could be driven from coast to coast several times without refueling for a few cents! That's the promise of cold fusion power. ’ October 26, 2012 (More)

The Energy Catalyzer could change the way we generate power in a way some people have not thought of. Currently most electricity is generated in large centralized plants owned by governments and large corporations. These plants can burn coal or gas, or run off other forms of power such as geothermal, nuclear, wind or hydro but the principle is the same.’ July 26, 2011 (More)

Cold fusion is the holy grail of energy generation. Achieving it would constitute a breakthrough of epic proportions, but wishing it won’t make it so. In light of Japan’s nuclear woes, the scientific community should approach the Focardi-Rossi enterprise with both healthy skepticism and a wary eye toward naysayers who would suppress rational inquiry. Let science be science and the chips fall where they will.’ - The Washington Times March 17, 2011 (More)

THE AGE OF THE E-CAT!
A Reason To Smile

April 12, 2016 - New Q&A With Andrea Rossi on ERV, IH and E-Cat Test Here is an extended Q&A from the Journal of Nuclear Physics today regarding the issues surrounding the lawsuit the Andrea Rossi/Leonardo Corp. has filed against Industrial Heat et. al. Rossi’s responses to the questions are below each question in bold.

April 8, 2016 - Rossi Provides Explanation about 1MW Plant Customer (Updated With Info from Mats Lewan) Andrea Rossi has been asked on the Journal of Nuclear Physics about the customer who has been supplied with the heat of the 1 MW plant. The name Henry Johnson, who is a Florida Attorney and also listed on some documents as president of Leonardo Corporation has been named in the License Agreement as president of JM Chemical Products, Inc. the apparent customer for the 1MW E-Cat plant.

April 7, 2016 - Andrea Rossi Responds to IH Statement (Updated) Andrea Rossi has posted this comment on the Journal of Nuclear Physics in response to the statement by Industrial Heat today.

April 7, 2016 - Industrial Heat Issue Statement, Say Rossi Lawsuit "Without Merit" Industrial Heat has issues a response in the following press release:

April 7, 2016 - Andrea Rossi sues Industrial Heat for $89M Mats Lewan: On Wednesday, April 6, I received a press release from the lawyer representing Rossi’s company, Leonardo Corp., about a lawsuit on Rossi’s US licensee Industrial Heat (IH), its representatives Thomas Darden and JT Vaughn, and Darden’s main company, Cherokee Investment Partners.

April 6, 2016 - Leonardo Corp. Press Release: Cold Fusion (LENR) Verified - Inventor Sues Industrial Heat, LLC - ERV is Fabio Penon According to the independent third party report, over the 352 day test period, the E-Cat consistently generated energy at a rate in excess of six (6) times the amount of energy consumed by the plant, often generating energy exceeding fifty (50) times the amount of energy consumed during the same period. According to Andrea Rossi, Leonardo Corporation considers the results of the third party test to be “an overwhelming success” and that “the world is one step closer to the realization of a commercially available new, clean and efficient energy source.”

March 29, 2016 - Andrea Rossi made this announcement on the Journal of Nuclear Physics Today:

Andrea Rossi
March 29, 2016 at 1:44 PM
DEAR READERS:
WE HAVE RECEIVED RIGHT NOW THE ERV’S REPORT WHICH HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO INDUSTRIAL HEAT AND TO MYSELF.
While I cannot release the report publicaly at this time, I can state that I am very pleased with the results.
I hope that Industrial Heat and I will be able to release the report publicaly in the near future.
May God help us for the hard work waiting for us all.
Warm Regards,
Dr Andrea Rossi, CEO of Leonardo Corporation

March 25, 2016 - New Huw Price Article: "Is The Cold Fusion Egg About to Hatch?" Huw Price, Bertrand Russell Professor of Philosophy and a fellow of Trinity College at the University of Cambridge has written a new article on the Aeon.co website about LENR, and how he thinks it could be ready to explode on the world scene.

March 19, 2016 - The Different E-Cat Approaches of Leonardo and Industrial Heat We may be getting close to some important revelations about what cold fusion (in the form of Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat) can do, but it’s a time of increasingly high tension as we wait for the report of the 1MW E-Cat Plant to be delivered. Yesterday the countdown clock I had running on the site ran out and I’m not going to try to make another guess!

March 18, 2016 - Something Really Bothers Me About the ApcoWorldwide/LENR Connection!
We can be sure about one thing though. Apco Worldwide beeing involved in sending email to a few LENR enthusiasts (and Krivit) is a proof that the establishment are keeping a close eye on the LENR development. Apco IS the Washington establishment in a boiled down format. They are in way bigger than the politicians and the bankers, since their job is to shape/control the public opinion in problematic issues, like climate, health, food, medcare, tobacco and of course defending big corporations against the people in many other different ways.

March 16, 2016 - Rossi Agrees to Attend NEWS in Stockholm if it Goes Ahead - Separate News Event Planned Update # 1 - Mats Lewan posted this on the LENR-Forum: "Ok, I can now confirm that Rossi will attend the New Energy World Symposium, not as a speaker but interviewed by me on stage. In connection to the symposium, at a separate event, he says he will have some important announcements to make."

March 15, 2016 - Rossi Wants E-Cat X Installed in Customer Factory by April As we wait for the results of the 1MW plant test to be reported, Andrea Rossi is apparently working hard on the E-Cat X, and today announced a very ambitious and near-term goal. Here’s a Q&A from the Journal of Nuclear Physics today

March 11, 2016 - Hydro Fusion Reports $121 Million Chinese Investment into LENR Thanks to AlainCo for uncovering an interesting piece of information on the Hydro Fusion website regarding Chinese investment in LENR/Industrial Heat. On the Hydro Fusion website in the Fourth Quarter Deveopments of 2015 (http://hydrofusion.com/news/e-cat-fourth-quarter-developments-of-2015) page is found this statement:

March 11, 2016 - Industrial Heat Makes Statement Regarding LENR Industry Developments Industrial Heat’s objective is to make clean, safe and affordable energy available everywhere, and in doing this we want to build a company that demonstrates respect for all. LENR is a key focus of Industrial Heat and we believe multiple technologies in this sector warrant further investigation and development.

March 7, 2016 - Finally: This is possibly how the E-Cat works After five years of debate on the much discussed energy device, the E-Cat, I have finally been shown a theoretical model that makes sense and which seems to be consistent with both laws of physics and experimental results, which I will present here.

February 24, 2016 - Rossi Hopes for Public Presentation of E-Cat X Plant this Year Andrea Rossi has said many times that now the 1MW plant test is over he is now focusing all his efforts on developing the E-Cat X, and getting it ready for mass production. It seems that he has his heart set on getting plants on the market this year — and also doing a presentation of the plant.

February 24, 2016 - BREAKING: The E-Cat has been replicated - here's the recipe! The ‘open science’ group, Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project, MFMP, that I mention at the end of my book An Impossible Invention, has announced that they have performed a true replication of the effect in Rossi’s energy device, the E-Cat. The group has also published a complete recipe of how to replicate the effect, adding a clear method for detecting a successful replication.

February 22, 2016 - MFMP: "Prepare . . . The End of the Carbon Age is Nigh" The Martin Fleischmann’s latest post on Facebook is hinting strongly at something important on its way. They talk about a ‘cookbook’ and the end of the fossil fuel age, but they are not giving much away so far. The post is embedded below; you can go directly to the post on FB here:
https://www.facebook.com/MartinFleischmannMemorialProject/posts/1124029104294454

February 19, 2016 - For Rossi, It's the E-Cat X All the Way Now Now that the 1 MW plant test is over, it seems that Andrea Ross now has the freedom to concentrate on what he is really excited about: the E-Cat X. This is the new version of the E-Cat that he reports runs at very high temperatures and is able to produce electricity directly. It was clear that while the 1 MW plant was running that Rossi was paying a great deal of attention to the E-Cat X. However he still had to keep the plant running, so he couldn’t devote his full attention to the new reactors.

February 19, 2016 - Historic event: One-year 1 megawatt E-Cat trial completed On February 17, 2016, a 350-day commercial test of a one megawatt heat plant based on Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat was completed. The event must be considered historic since it’s the first time an industrially useful amount of energy is produced over such a long time from this kind of yet unexplained radiation-free nuclear reaction—LENR or Low Energy Nuclear Reactions.

February 18, 2016 - 1 MW E-Cat Plant Watch Thread UPDATE #41 [350 Day Test is Over, Results in Approx 1 Month] A comment on the Journal of Nuclear Physics by Andrea Rossi announced that the 1 Year test of the E-Cat Plant has been completed.

February 6, 2016 - No More Demos' if Test Succeeds Update 39: We’re heading into the final stretch of Andrea Rossi’s 1 MW plant test, and while Rossi has reported loss of efficiency in the plant’s reactors, and some more leakages, the test still continues. Today we’re at day 348, so we could be just weeks away from the finish line and it sounds like they are nursing the plant all the way to the end. Here’s a Q&A on the topic today.

February 2, 2016 - Tom Darden Seen As World Saver (Richtopia)
There’s an article on the Richtopia website that looks at Tom Darden’s role in championing LENR. The article, written by Mae Merriweather, is rather dramatically titled, “How Not Knowing Tom Darden Could Make You a Rookie in Tech” and looks at Darden’s funding of Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat.

February 1, 2016 - UPDATE #38 - New Test Deadline: End of March
It looks like the countdown clock we have been running on this site has been overly optimistic based on recent statements from Andrea Rossi on when the test might conclude. So I have adjusted the clock to the end of March, rather than February 29. Here’s a Q&A from the Journal of Nuclear Physics today:

January 28, 2016 - New Scientist Magazine Segment on Cold Fusion An article by David Hambling titled “Nuclear fusion: Can the stellarator unleash the power?” has been published on the New Scientist magazine website.

January 25, 2016 - Q & A with Andrea Rossi on E-Cat X Stress Testing - Self Sustaining for 'Hours' I thought it would be important to include this short Q&A between Joseph Fine and Andrea Rossi regarding the E-Cat X, which Rossi has said he has been putting through some stress testing:

January 11, 2016 - Announcing the New Energy World Symposium Mats Lewan: Today I’m announcing the New Energy World Symposium that will hold its first session on June 21, 2016, in Stockholm Sweden.

January 6, 2016 - 'Strong Progress' Being Made on Domestic E-Cat Certification Andrea Rossi: We are making strong progress toward the certification of the domestic E-Cat. If the tests on course will be positive, possibly all will come together.

December 31, 2015 - 1 MW E-Cat Plant Watch Thread [UPDATE #31: Two Reactors Showing Sign of Fuel Consumption] UPDATE #31 (Dec 30, 2015) As we approach the end of the year, over 10 months into the test it sounds like the reactors in the E-Cat plant are getting a bit fatigued. Andrea Rossi wrote a week or so ago that one of the reactors was showing less efficiency, and today he wrote this on the JONP:

December 30, 2015 - Overview of the Electric E-Cat X As expected, since announcing the generation of electricity from the E-Cat X there have been lots of questions for Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics about it, and Rossi has provided many answers that I will attempt to summarize here, rather than copy a list of direct quotes.

December 30, 2015 - New Year's Eve Party Thread! What Will be the Big Reveal from Rossi at Midnight (US Eastern Time)? Andrea Rossi wrote this intriguing comment on the Journal of Nuclear Physics today: ...at midnight tomorrow, when the New Year will be born, which means at 00.00 a.m. of Jan 1st 2016, I will be in the plant and I will uncork the bottle of the Korbel ( a very good US champenois) to celebrate: I will be alone inside the plant in that moment, with the security guards only; immediately after that I will write here what is the E-Cat X and what I want to do of it.

December 26, 2015 - Rossi: The E-Cat X Does Produce Electricity Directly (Update: Useful Electricity with 'Very High Efficiency and COP') So there we have a clear answer finally, which has been hinted at for months now, and being able to generate electricity directly makes the E-Cat an even more fascinating technology and takes LENR to a whole new level.

December 21, 2015 - Cambridge University Professor Huw Price on the 'Reputation Trap' of Cold Fusion Huw Price: If Rossi, Godes, Lundin, Lidgren and others do turn out to have something useful – something that can make some useful contribution to meeting our desperate need for clean, cheap energy – we will have wasted a generation of progress. What we should have done instead is to have engineered the exact opposite of a reputation trap – perhaps an X Prize-like reward for the first reliable replication of the Fleischmann and Pons results, above some commercial bar.

December 6, 2015 - Self-Interest and LENR (Edmund Storms) Thanks to Georgehants for pointing out this comment from Edmund Storms on Peter Gluck’s Ego Out site regarding the initial reception of LENR/Cold Fusion when Dr. Storms was working at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, USA.

December 1, 2015 - Rossi on the E-Cat's Modular Future: E-Cat X Units Can Combine to Make Power Plants of Any Size I think we have learned from Andrea Rossi about the future of the E-Cat — and it is modular. Some comments on the Journal of Nuclear Physics point to a new concept which has been brought about by apparent success of the E-Cat X. While we still don’t know exactly what it is, but it seems from what Rossi has been saying that it is an E-Cat that can be made in quite small modules which can then be assembled together to make whatever size power plant you might need.

November 25, 2015 - Rossi's engineer: 'I have seen things you people wouldn't believe' Mats Lewan: A few days ago I had a conversation with Rossi’s closest technician and engineer since 2012, Fulvio Fabiani, which I will report on here. Let me first make clear that the quite lengthy report has absolutely no value if you’re convinced that the E-Cat technology doesn’t work. At the most it will be anecdotic. People considering the E-Cat technology to be valid will, on the other hand, find some of Fabiani’s statements to be interesting.

November 19, 2015 - 'Our Response to A Rossi' (Proatom.ru Reports on Successful Russian LENR Systems) A post titled “Our Response to A Rossi” on the Russian Proatom.ru website by Alexander Prosvirnov reports on various apparently successful LENR experiments that have taken place in Russia recently, and focuses on the work of a team led by Anatoly Klimov who have reported success with a “plasma vortex” system which reportedly could produce a COP of 3-10.

November 19, 2015 - CGI Images of 1MW E-Cat Plant Posted on Ecat.com On the Ecat.com website run by Hydro Fusion, a Leonardo Corp. licensee in Sweden, computer generated images have been posted of the latest version of the 1MW E-Cat plant that is currently being tested by Andrea Rossi and his team. Rossi commented on the JONP: “Look well these artistic representations: you see the 4 “Tigers” one upon the other. It is the actual configuration of the 1 MW plant.”

October 25, 2015 - 'Well-Known Companies' Have Placed Orders for E-Cat Plants: Q&A With Andrea Rossi

October 18, 2015 - Rossi: 'Consolidated' 1 MW E-Cat Plant to Have Volume of 4 Cubic Meters It seems quite likely that future owners of an industrial E-Cat plant may not need to have a shipping container installed at their site. Andrea Rossi has responded to a question on the Journal of Nuclear Physics about the possibility of increasing the power density of the 1 MW plant in the future, and in response has provided information about how he sees the volume of future plants:

October 15, 2015 - Lundin and Lidgren Predict COP of over 1000 Based on their LENR Theory (Rossi: Paper 'Extremely Important') The paper published by Rickard Lundin and Hand Lidgren may have revealed important information about the potential of the LENR effect they have been investigating:

“Overall, the H2 + Ni58 reactor gives a higher performance. In fact, by combining wave input at frequencies closer to resonance with decreasing external power, (low-power mode) a new equilibrium may theoretically establish where the gain/COP may exceed 1000” (p. 8).

October 15, 2015 - Swedish scientists claim LENR explanation break-through Essentially no new physics but a little-known physical effect describing matter’s interaction with electromagnetic fields — ponderomotive Miller forces — would explain energy release and isotopic changes in LENR. This is what Rickard Lundin and Hans Lidgren, two top level Swedish scientists, claim, describing their theory in a paper called Nuclear Spallation and Neutron Capture Induced by Ponderomotive Wave Forcing that will be presented on Friday, October 16, at the 11th International Workshop on Anomalies in ?Hydrogen Loaded Metals, hosted by Airbus in Toulouse, France.

October 6, 2015 - Rossi Interviewed by Bailey and Borwein (Now on Huffington Post) Thanks to Veblin for sharing a link to an interview by David H. Bailey of the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (retired) and University of California, and Jonathan M. Borwein, Laureate Professor of Mathematics, University of Newcastle, Australia on the Math Drudge website.

September 27, 2015 - Rossi on Production: 'Unthinkable' to Sell E-Cats Until Economy of Scale Reached I put a question to Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics regarding the power output of the first industrial E-Cats, and got a response which covered more than I anticipated.

September 22, 2015 - Rossi: If Test Successful, E-Cat Commercialization to Start March 2016 Until now I don’t believe that Andrea Rossi has mentioned a specific starting date for when commercialization of E-Cat technology will begin, except to say that they will not be losing time to get started if the current test of the 1 MW plant is successful. Today, in response to a question from a reader on the Journal of Nuclear Physics about when plants might be available for order, Rossi said this:

September 18, 2015 - Anthropocene Institute Video Promotes LENR as Climate Solution (GreenWin) It is interesting that the Anthropocene Institute is the first of the climate gang to publicly acknowledge LENR. And openly critique the failure of ITER.

September 17, 2015 - E-Cat Commercial Rollout: Leonardo in Europe, Industrial Heat in the USA? We don’t have much detail about the commercial rollout of E-Cat technology, but it appears that plans are well underway for getting the technology into the marketplace, providing, of course, that the year-long test run of the 1 MW plant goes well. Tonight Andrea Rossi was asked if there might be a small Italian flag in the container where he was now working. Rossi responded:

September 3, 2015 - European Patent Office Approves Patent for Piantelli's LENR Method Thanks to Alainco on the LENR-Forum for this interesting news: The European Patent Office has granted a patent on Francesco Piantelli’s “Method and Apparatus for Generating Energy by Nuclear Reactions of Hydrogen Adsobred by Orbital Capture on a Nanocrystalline Structure of a Metal”.

August 28, 2015 - Cold Fusion Heats Up: Fusion Energy and LENR Update According to Rossi and a handful of others who have observed the system in operation, it is producing 1 MWatt continuous net output power, in the form of heat, from a few grams of "fuel" in each of a set of modest-sized reactors in a network. The system has now been operating for approximately six months, as part of a one-year acceptance test. Rossi and IH LLC are in talks with Chinese firms for large-scale commercial manufacture.

August 23, 2015 - Rossi: Relationship Between Leonardo Corp and Industrial Heat "as Perfect as Ever" Andrea Rossi has responded to a question on the Journal of Nuclear Physics which asked directly about the relationship between him and Industrial Heat. There has been some speculation recently that there might have been some change in the relationship, as Rossi has written numerous about Leonardo Corporation’s position as the owner of the E-Cat’s intellectual property.

August 14, 2015 - Airbus Scientist to Announce "Major Theoretical Breakthrough" in Cold Fusion in October This is an interesting comment written by Jean-Francois Geneste, Vice-President Chief Scientist of Airbus Group Innovations.

August 9, 2015 - Rossi: New Hot Cat 'A Real Revolution . . . Very, Very, Very Good' (Updated) Early Sunday Morning, Andrea Rossi reports that he restarted a rebuilt Hot Cat (high temperature E-Cat reactor) that he is calling “M.me Curie”. The first iteration of this new design was started last week, and apparently performed quite well, but broke after 10 hours of operation. Ross seems quite excited about the new version of this design. This is what he writes today:

August 4, 2015 - Rossi: "Practically Impossible" to Retrofit Coal Power Plants with E-Cats Due to Authorization Issues On many occasions people have suggested that one easy way to incorporate E-Cat technology into the existing energy infrastructure is to simply take out the current heating systems from power plants (coal, gas, nuclear) and put in E-Cat heaters. All you need to generate electricity is steam at sufficient temperature and pressure to drive the turbines, and if you can match the heat from burning coal with heat from E-Cats, it would not seem to be major problem. You could keep the turbines and other necessary elements for steam production in place, and the electricity transmission systems would not need to be altered.

July 30, 2015 - Rossi: Leonardo and Licensees Preparing for 'Massive Attack' in the Marketplace Andrea Rossi made an interesting comment today on the Journal of Nuclear Physics in connection with a question about whether E-Cat products would be available in the marketplace ‘massively’ if the current test on the 1MW plant is a success.

July 26, 2015 - Rossi's Hot Cat Hopes Update Next Version A Completely New Thing It seems that while Andrea Rossi is monitoring the performance of the 1MW plant (all recent reports from him about the plant are quite positive), he is also busy with the development of the Hot Cat (high temperature E-Cat), a test reactor which is also being subject to a year-long test in the shipping container where he is working.

July 17, 2015 - Leonardo Corp. Looking to Sell E-Cat Heat at Customer Sites (Update: Rossi Confirms and Comments) Leonardo Corporation now offers ECAT Heat Energy as a separate product solution. The ECAT plants are owned and operated by Leonardo Corporation while installed in the customers facilities or at a location in the vicinity of the customers facilities depending on local needs and infrastructure.

July 11, 2015 - E-Cat Customer Happy With Energy Bills: Rossi According to Andrea Rossi, the E-Cat plant that is being tested at the site of Industrial Heat’s secret customer has been running for over four months now, providing heat for an industrial process. If this is the case, the customer should be getting an idea of how effective the plant is in cutting the cost of energy at the factory. Rossi today commented on the Journal of Nuclear Physics that “What really interests our Customer is that the E-Cat increases his profit.” I followed up with a couple of questions, and Rossi has replied.

July 10, 2015 - Norwegian Think Tank Assesses LENR — “Success Cannot be Excluded” The report looks at the history of cold fusion, current activity in the LENR field, and at some of the companies involved in R&D. It also tries to project the possible future impact based on research that has been done in other fields, such as the impact of the cost of oil on the world economy. The report does not come to any firm conclusion, but does pose some possible scenarios that could result from commercially available LENR. And it does recommend that the topic be monitored at high levels in government.

July 5, 2015 - 1MW Plant and Hot Cat Continue Stable and Self-Sustaining: Rossi A pattern of questioning has emerged on the Journal of Nuclear Physics which is perhaps the most accurate way for us to presently gauge how work is going on the ongoing E-Cat tests taking place in the shipping containers where Andrea Rossi is currently working. A reader will typically ask what is the status of the E-Cat test at the very moment the question is asked — and Andrea Rossi does not seem to mind giving the latest update.

June 16, 2015 - 1 MW Hot Cat Plant to follow Current 1 MW Plant If you are wondering what Andrea Rossi might be doing after the current test of the 1 MW plant is over, he has just revealed at least one new thing we can expect — a Hot Cat Plant.

May 21, 2015 - Rossi Expects New Successful Replication Reports to be Published There’s an interesting response by Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics in response to a comment by Hank Mills today. Hank Mills makes the observation that no one in the open replication community is able to achieve the same kind of success as Alexander Parkhomov, and he thinks it is because no one is putting in enough time to work at getting the results, and there has been a wide variety of materials and setups used.

May 10, 2015 - Rossi: Hot Cats to be Used for Domestic Unit - 'Very Long' Self-Sustain Periods in Single Units There has been some interesting information from Andrea Rossi revealed by Andrea Rossi recently regarding plans for the Hot Cat (the high temperature E-Cat reactor), which he now says will be used as the basis for domestic E-Cat units, which apparently are being prepared for in ongoing R&D activity. Here are some recent questions and comments from Rossi via the Journal of Nuclear Physics.

April 29, 2015 - E-Cat Cold Fusion Reactor Shames Thousand Ton ITER Electromagnet (Hank Mills) San Diego’s General Atomic’s is providing the ITER reactor a critical component: a seven story, one thousand ton electromagnet (see story here: http://m.utsandiego.com/news/2015/apr/11/fusion-reactor-atomics). This enormous piece of equipment will help contain the superheated plasma which is needed to allow deuterium and tritium – two isotopes of hydrogen – to under go “hot” nuclear fusion. If all goes well, this component along with several others will be put together by 2019 or 2020 to complete the reactor that’s expected to have a total cost of at least sixteen billion dollars. The bad news for taxpayers across the world is that they should not expect to reap any real world benefits from the reactor until at least 2027 – this is when the first attempts to produce fusion reactions may take place.

April 17, 2015 - Rossi Reports Online Meeting with Parkhomov, Plans Visit to Russia in Future (1MW Plant Stable, Hot Cat Efficiency Improving) Andrea Rossi reported on the Journal of Nuclear Physics today of an interesting communication he has had with Alexander G. Parkhomov. In a recent response to a question about Parkhomov’s work, Rossi posted that he thought AGP’s work was important, and that they had something in common: they are both hard workers.

April 13, 2015 - Transcript of Tom Darden's Speech on LENR at ICCF19: "We've Reached a Tipping point" This is the first time that we have seen and heard the founder of Industrial Heat, who acquired rights to Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat technology. In this talk he spoke about his motivation, history and his hopes and goals for LENR technology in general. I have done a quick transcription of the videos and decided to put the transcript in a separate post here. The room he was speaking in had a lot of echo, so some things were somewhat indistinct, but I think I got most of what he said.

April 11, 2015 - Tom Darden of Industrial Heat to Speak at ICCF19 Many thanks to We Want Fusione Fredda for pointing out some new speakers on the ICCF19 program for Monday Morning. Here’s the speaker’s roster for the program on Monday Morning:

April 7, 2015 - E-Cat Theory Paper Published by Andrea Rossi and Norman Cook A paper by Norman Cook of Kansai University, Osaka and Andrea Rossi titled ‘On the Nuclear Mechanisms Underlying the Heat Production by the “E-Cat”’ has been published on Arxiv.org, a repository of pre-print science papers hosted at Cornell University.

April 4, 2015 - Reflections on Replications There have been hundreds of posts on the MFMP live experiment thread now, and I thought I would start a new one for the purposes of reflection on the topic of replication in general. The Rossi Effect seems to have generated in some an almost insatiable curiosity and drive to discover the secrets of LENR. The Lugano report has been a catalyst to encourage replicators, and Alexander Parkhomov’s work has been a further catalyst. The motivation to replicate is not hard to understand since we are dealing with what could turn out to be one of the most important discoveries in the history of science.

March 27, 2015 - Parkhomov Again Replicates Rossi Effect - The Challenge is Before the Scientific Community In the years we have been covering topics connected with the E-Cat here, there have been numerous tests and demonstrations that have validated the underlying claim of Andrea Rossi and others: that it is possible to create a nickel-hydrogen reaction that produces more energy than is input into a reactor in significant quantities — enough to provide useful energy.

Professor Alexander Parkhomov

March 26, 2015 - Parkhomov's Catnip: The Incredible Fuel of the E-Cat (Hank Mills) Over the last twenty years, since 1989 when Pons and Fleischman introduced the technology to the world, researchers have dreamed of developing a robust and economically viable version of the technology. This dream has been realized with the Rossi Effect, and the experiments of Alexander Parkhomov seem to demonstrate these aspects of the technology in a simple manner. If his results can be successfully replicated, a black swan event may be the result.

December 28, 2014 - The Significance of the Parkhomov LENR Report Alexander Parkhomov has taken the bull by the horns and just gone ahead with a replication effort — and what I find most encouraging about his report is that he seems to have achieved positive results on the first attempt! Of course he has not achieved the COP levels that the Lugano team reached with Rossi’s reactor, but I don’t think that’s an issue here. The most important thing is that someone has stepped up and shown that it is possible to get interesting results, and I think the consequences of this could be profound.

December 15, 2014 - Rossi on the Duration of E-Cat's Fuel Charge One of the most important aspects of the E-Cat is that it requires such a small amount of ‘fuel’ to operate. The report of the Lugano test stated that only one gram of fuel (the weight of a small paper clip) was required for a run period of 32 days, and this fuel allowed the reactor to consistently produce more than 3 times as much energy as was input. The Lugano testers also reported that there was no reduction in the potency of the charge during the 32-day run.

It seems you have an opportunity to study the Energy Catalyzer in amazing detail.

August 14, 2014 - Rossi: Safety Certification Obtained for Low and High Temperature E-Cats Today Andrea Rossi announced on the Journal of Nuclear Physics what would appear to be an important development in the commercialization of the E-Cat. In a comment about the use of multiple reactors inside each E-Cat plant, Rossi made this comment:

August 11, 2014 - Rossi: Let's Switch from LENR to QUAR We’ve been discussing the appropriate name for ‘the reaction’ for some time now, and a recent thread here suggested the need for taking the world ‘Nuclear’ out of any label that is used as it could have negative connotations to many people who are wary about nuclear energy mainly because safety reasons. If this technology starts to make news, there could be some headwinds to fight from nuclear energy opponents who could raise concerns about the safety of ‘new nuclear’ energy.

August 1, 2014 - 1 MW Plant will Close the Experimentalism Era and Open the Commercial Era It seems that a great deal is resting on the performance of the 1 MW plant. March 24, 2014 - Rossi: Testing with Industry Specializing in Jet Engines I thought this Q&A today between a reader and Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics was noteworthy:

March 17, 2014 - Rossi: E-Cat Testing not yet complete As we approach the end of March there is inevitably a growing interest in the status of the 3rd party long-term test on the E-Cat that Andrea Rossi has said in the past could be concluded this month. Rossi has just made a statement in response to a question on the Journal of Nuclear Physics saying that as of right now (March 17, 2014), the testing has not ended.

March 16, 2014 - Shipping Information found for E-Cat Plant Here’s something I never expected could be found: a poster going by the name of Nevanlinna on the Italian cobraf.com forum has done some amazing detective work, and somehow uncovered shipping data which confirms the shipping of the 1 MW E-Cat plant from Rossi’s Italian headquarters in Ferrara, Italy, to the United States.

February 23, 2014 - Will Government Regulations Speed Up E-Cat Adoption? Steven Karels: In my opinion, the conversion to eCat technology for coal-fired electricity production plants will be more driven by the need to upgrade the plants to meet carbon emission reduction requirements. These modifications are estimated to increase electricity costs by between 60% and 80% of current price.

February 22, 2014 - Rossi Hopes to Retrofit Coal Power Plants With E-Cats Andrea Rossi gave an interesting short comment on the Journal of Nuclear Physics when asked by Bernie Koppenhofer whether he agreed that with anticipated efficiencies, the hot cat would be suitable for retrofitting existing inefficient power plants.

February 14, 2014 - Mass Media Focuses on Hot Fusion Achievement The news coming out of the National Ignition Facility at the Livermore National Laboratory regarding the achievement of fusion from almost 200 lasers blasting a hydrogen/deuterium pellet has really caught the attention of the national and international media.

February 9, 2014 - Companies and Organizations Involved in LENR Research Christopher Calder sent me the following list of companies and organizations currently showing positive interest in the field of LENR. He has suggested, and I have agreed, that we keep a master list of LENR companies here on E-Cat World as a reference for readers. Below is the current list — if you know of others, please let me know and I will add it to the list. This list is not an endorsement of any or the claims that the various companies are making, but it does indicate that there is wide and growing interest in the field. Christopher notes that ‘the statistical odds of them all being wrong or lying has to be over a billion to one by now.’

January 31, 2014 - Swedish Physicist Sven Kullander Dies at 78 Jed Rothwell has reported on Vortex-l (citing Wikipedia) that Sven Kullander, professor emeritus of High Energy Physics at Uppsala University, has died at age 78. Dr. Kullander is known in the LENR community as one of the early observers of Andrea Rossi’s E-Cats. He, along with Swedish physicist Hanno Essen, was one of the first academics to publicly state that he considered that the E-Cat was producing energy based on nuclear reactions.

January 26, 2014 - Dubious Denial of E-Cat Reality (Guest Post) In a Popular Science article published yesterday titled “Dubious Cold Fusion Machine Acquired By North Carolina Company” it is mentioned that not all of the chemicals used in the device have been revealed. However, that is irrelevant. The amount of output produced by E-Cat devices have exceeded any known source of chemical energy. The reason that the catalysts have not been revealed is to protect intellectual property. It seems like certain detractors want Rossi to give away the secrets of his technology free to the world, but in reality, no one in his position is going to do that.

January 25, 2014 - Industrial Heat's Acquisition of E-Cat is Major Endorsement of Rossi, Boost for LENR Today’s announcement by Industrial Heat, LLC of its acquisition of the rights to Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat technology is one of the most important milestones in the whole LENR story to date, in my opinion. We now have a company founded by serious and experienced professionals (JT Vaughn and Tom Darden, both of Cherokee Ivestment Partners) who have put serious money behind Andrea Rossi’s invention, and who have come out publicly in favor of it.

January 24, 2014 - PRESS RELEASE: Industrial Heat Has Acquired Andrea Rossis E-Cat Technology
Industrial Heat Has Acquired Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat Technology. RESEARCH TRIANGLE, N.C., Jan. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Industrial Heat, LLC announced today that it has acquired the rights to Andrea Rossi’s Italian low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology, the Energy Catalyzer (E-Cat). A primary goal of the company is to make the technology widely available, because of its potential impact on air pollution and carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels and biomass.

January 24, 2014 - Anti- Pollution Masks for Everyone in Shanghai Recommended - Can E-Cat Help China? Illustrating the severity of China’s current problems, Mr. Zhu Junbo, a Shanghai representative to China’s top advisory body, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference has recommended the government issuing protective face masks to residents of Shanghai, a city of over 23 million. The Daily Telegraph reports that air quality in Shanghai has deteriorated since 2012, and there are days when when cars are restricted from driving and schools are closed if smog levels are excessive.

January 22, 2014 - Peter Hagelstein on Problems Surrounding Cold Fusion (Video) An interesting video has been posted recently on the Serious Science website which features Dr. Peter Hagelstein, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at MIT talking about cold fusion, and why it is such a problem within the scientific community. Dr. Hagelstein is in a very small minority among American academics — he has long been a researcher and teacher about cold fusion, and takes it very seriously.

January 17, 2014 - Rossi on Upcoming Report (Academics from 3 Continents) There’s not too much new in this comment from Andrea Rossi regarding the much anticipated report of the long-term E-Cat testing, but he does give a few more hints about when we might expect it to appear, and the makeup of the team of testers. Rossi responded to a question about the timetable for the report as follows:

January 8, 2014 - Rossi: E-Cat Theory to be Published (Minus Certain Information) 'Within Several Months' “Within several months I will make a publication, wherein all the issues that will not affect the IP will be touched. This will be after the completion of the third indipendent party validation”

January 3, 2014 - Solved - The Company that Owns the E-Cat (Guest Post) By putting together several pieces of information that were publicly available on the internet, the identity of the company that owns the E-Cat has been determined: Cherokee Investment Partners LLC. This company created Industrial Heat LLC, funded it with approximately eleven million dollars, acquired the rights to the E-Cat technology, and appointed Andrea Rossi as Chief Scientist.

December 29, 2013 - Rossi Provides More Explosive E-Cat Information Since the recent update from Andrea Rossi about E-Cat progress there’s been a flurry of discussion on the Journal of Nuclear Physics with Andrea Rossi posting at a level not seen for months. All of a sudden he has started revealing information about his ongoing work in some detail.

December 28, 2013 - Andrea Rossi Gives Year-End Update Reporting Important E-Cat Progress It’s been a while since we have had much of an update from Andrea Rossi that provides any level of detail. He has usually said that ‘now is not the time for talking’, or something similar — but today, for whatever reason, he has provided the following update on the Journal of Nuclear Physics to Steven Karels:

December 15, 2013 - LENR Cars CEO Responds to Investor Questions A few weeks ago we covered the LENR Cars pitch to be selected as a finalist in the Future Energy contest from Ultra Light Startups. The application process involves the ability to respond to questions from potential investors, and LENR Cars CEO Nicolas Chauvin has provided some additional information about his company in responses posted here.

December 9, 2013 - Rossi: Preparing Next Generation of E-Cat Developers There was a time when Andrea Rossi was the only person on the earth who knew the secrets of the E-Cat. He talked about having documents containing those secrets deposited with his attorneys that could be opened in the event of his untimely demise to keep his knowledge from disappearing.

November 15, 2013 - 25 Economic Impacts of the E-Cat What the E-Cat represents is simple: a source of cheap, clean, compact, portable, and abundant power. Such a revolutionary alternative source of energy is tremendously needed in our world, and its arrival and proliferation will affect countless businesses, industries, and sectors of our economy. No aspect of our civilization will remain untouched. This article attempts to list and briefly describe some possible impacts.

November 10, 2013 - Twenty-five Wonders of the E-Cat Bold adjectives are often used to create hype for all sorts of new technologies and breakthroughs, but often the hyperbole is unjustified. In the case of Andrea Rossi’s Energy Catalyzer, however, the advantages, benefits, and capabilities of nickel-hydrogen E-Cat fusion are so significant that simply put, the technology is astounding.

October 25, 2013 - Elforsk Magazine Features LENR/E-Cat An article in Elforsk Perspektiv, a trade magazine published by Swedish energy R&D organization Elforsk takes a serious look at LENR, and Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat in particular. The title of the article is “Unknown “nuclear” process can revolutionize the world’s energy”, and it provides a comprehensive overview of the topic.

October 25, 2013 - Vattenfall Rumor - E-Cat Report in 2013? Thanks to an alert Swedish E-Cat World reader for the following post which he found here on the Swedish Energikatalysatorn web site posted by someone with the name ‘dave333'. The original was in Swedish, but here’s an English translation:

October 18, 2013 - On the Eventual Press Conference Andrea Rossi has mentioned that at some point, once the internal testing of the E-Cat that is apparently currently ongoing, there will be a press conference held. I asked a few questions of Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics, and followed up with an email for some more details about this event, and got a few answers, but not many details.

October 9, 2013 - Report of Rossi Sighting in Sweden There is such a scarcity of information coming from Rossi and Co., so it’s refreshing to get a short but interesting report posted on the Swedish Energikatalysatorn.se forum about an independent sighting of Andrea Rossi.

September 20, 2013 - Rossi on 'Duty to God and Mankind' Andrea Rossi has provided a bit more of a picture of his team’s goals and strategies in some recent comments on the Journal of Nuclear physics. When a reader asked if his American partner “has the will to give this technology to Humanity?” Rossi replied: Of course yes: the Team I am working with is a team that already dedicate enormous resources upon targets inspired by the sense of duty toward God and Mankind.

August 26, 2013 - Cold Fusion and Skeptopathy There is no better example of skeptopathy doing great harm to humanity than the history of cold fusion. Everyone is probably familiar with Fleischmann and Pons’ claim that they had discovered a nuclear reaction that occurs at (or near) room temperature, compared with temperatures in the millions of degrees that is required for hot fusion. Furthermore, I bet everyone is also under the impression that their claim had been discredited – wrong! Pons and Fleischmann never retracted their claim, but moved their research program to France after the controversy erupted.

August 26, 2013 - Overcoming the E-Cat Stall - A Proposal (Guest Post) For two decades, cold fusion (LENR) researchers have worked to make their anomalous heat effects powerful, repeatable, and robust. With Rossi and Focardi’s announcement of the E-Cat in January 2011, many cold fusion enthusiasts felt that their dream had come true. Andrea Rossi’s nickel-hydrogen technology was, and is, a marvel. I’m tired of waiting. My desire is to see the “Rossi Effect” be recognized as real by the entire world, be broadly utilized, and end the age of fossil fuels. There needs to be an open source, civilian style Manhattan project to bring this technology to light. Let’s make it happen.

August 24, 2013 - Interview with Ed Storms on the Importance of Cold Fusion I’m grateful to Ruby Carat of Cold Fusion Now for bringing my attention to this very interesting interview by John Maguire of the J.C.M. Blog with nuclear scientist Dr. Edmund Storms, formerly of the Los Alamos National Lab. It’s quite a long interview (50 minutes in total), but if you have the time, it’s well worth it to listen to the whole thing.

August 12, 2013 - Not Much Nickel Needed Andrea Rossi once again today reiterated his claim that the amount of nickel used in the E-Cat reaction is miniscule — that: “The amount of Ni used by the E-Cat, even in a widespread situation, would not affect the world production of Ni. 1 g of mass yields 23 000 kWh and the used Ni is anyway recyclable for all the other uses.”

August 11, 2013 - Is Cold Fusion Entering the Final Stages? We’re entering the market launch phase, Defkalion is loading up the science, National Instruments is positioning for market share, partners of Mr. Rossi are applying some corporate level conduct boundaries, the science is being explored worldwide.

August 1, 2013 - A New Division For Leonardo Corp. Just recently, Andrea Rossi commented on an idea presented on the Journal of Nuclear Physics by Steven Karels. Mr. Karels said: “The significant characteristic of the eCat technology, in my humble opinion, is that it is excellent for long term, constant output applications. An example of this is the baseload electric power plant, previously discussed. “Two other applications that come to mind are: “naval powerplants and railroad powerplants

July 28, 2013 - Videos of Defkalion Demo Available For those who didn’t have a chance to see the live Defkalion Demo, videos of the July 23 demo have been uploaded to the Defkalion Livestream.com web page at this link: http://new.livestream.com/triwu2/Defkalion-US/videos/25225397 There are five videos posted there of various sections of the test. July 27, 2013 - MFMP: Independent Report of Defkalion's Hyperion to be Published The Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project have posted a very positive assessment of this week’s ICCF-18 conference on their Facebook page. They see it as being a ‘watershed’ event with convincing evidence of excess heat being presented by Defkalion and Takahashi, and an important advance for the principle of Live Open Science which the group is practicing.

July 19, 2013 - Italian Science Journalists to Cover Defkalion Demo Following up on news of the Defkalion demonstration during the ICCF conference, it looks now that there will be live streaming of a demo from a lab at Defkalion Europe in Milan, Italy. An announcement on Triwu, an Italian web site that deals with science and technology states (Google translated):

July 11, 2013 - Rossi Update: E-Cat Built Solely By Partner Works Perfectly The past three days have been holidays for most, but for us have been a tremendous period of work during which we made a historic page for what concerns our tech: for the first time, an E-Cat module, entirely produced by our USA Partner in the new factory ( a magnificence), charged with the charge made by the Partner’s CEO, using the materials we teached to buy, prepare, manipulate, treat, to make the charges, assembled , insulated, has started its operation, and the results are the same of the E-Cats built by us.

July 7, 2013 - Stirling Engines & The E-Cat Talk on the Journal of Nuclear Physics has now turned to the Stirling engine. While the E-Cat community mourns the loss of Prof. Focardi – co-inventor of the E-Cat, and Andrea Rossi faces threats against his safety if he leaves the United States, he continues to forge ahead with adaptations to his technology. The use of Stirling engines in his work means that the Hot Cat has progressed to the point where Mr. Rossi and his team are attempting to use the Hot Cat for electricity production.

July 3, 2013 - University of Missouri News Anticipates ICCF-18 The Mizzou News, the news department at the University of Missouri, has written an article by Nancy Moen title “Tabletop Nuclear Fusion” which features LENR/cold fusion as the University looks forward to hosting the 18th International Conference on Cold Fusion (ICCF-18) at the end of July. In explaining the phenomenon of LENR, Moen writes:

June 28, 2013 - Unconfirmed - First US E-Cat Plant in Operation I think this should be put in the rumor category for now, but I received the following comment from ‘Francesco CH’ today — someone who hasn’t commented here in quite a while, but in the past has proved to be quite a reliable source of information regarding the E-Cat

June 19, 2013 - Rossi Anticipating New Attack Here’s a comment posted yesterday by Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics that indicates that he is expecting some kind of new attack to be published about him: “Somebody will try soon to write another black page of the tale, diffusing false information. But we have solid shoulders, after 30 years of...

June 10, 2013 - Free to a Good Home - 1 MW E-Cat Plant I think this is terrific news: Leonardo Corporation and Hydro Fusion (E-Cat Licensee for Northern Europe) are offering a free 1 MW E-Cat plant (low temperature) to a customer who is willing to operate it as a pilot project. The only thing the customer pays for is the heat the plant produces — which should be cheaper than any heat they are paying for at the moment.

June 10, 2013 - Appendix on Electrical Measurements Added to 3rd Party Report A new version of the 3rd Party E-Cat report has been uploaded to arxiv.org site which now includes a new appendix on electrical measurments. This has presumably been done in response to charges that the test could have been faked by Andrea Rossi by means of supplying hidden power sources to the E-Cat.

June 7, 2013 - Engineering News Covers E-Cat Tests Engineering News, a South African weekly trade magazine which covers news in all industrial sectors has published an article by Jeremy Wakeford entitled “Interest in LENR device resurges as independent report is released”.

June 4, 2013 - Beyond LENR (aka 'Cold Fusion') to Useful Energy We’re in a time of big changes. The CEO of a new energy company developing a revolutionary product says, “If we had started this ten years ago, we’d be dead by now.” Even a change for the better is not always easy. We resist letting go of an outmoded belief or worldview despite the fact that it’s not solving our problems. It’s all the more difficult to ditch a worldview if you’ve defended it for many years and expect reward for your elite knowledge.

May 22, 2013 - Essen Corrects: "We Can Definitely Exclude DC Current" “In the interview I answered that there was no direct measurement of dc (since the clamps could not detect such). This was a bit hasty. In future I will not answer such technical questions without conferring with all coauthors. After analysing what we checked and measured (which were many more variables that those from the clamps) we can definitely exclude dc-current. (This is what comes from being nice to journalists.)”

May 22, 2013 - Levi Hot Cat paper is a gem Jed Rothwell: I just read this paper for the third time. This is a gem. These people think and write like engineers rather than scientists. That is a complement coming from me. They dot every i and cross every t. I can't think of a single thing I wish they had checked but did not.

May 20, 2013 - 3rd Party Report: E-Cat at Least One Order of Magnitude Greater Than Conventional Energy Sources From the Abstract: Computed volumetric and gravimetric energy densities were found to be far above those of any known chemical source. Even by the most conservative assumptions as to the errors in the measurements, the result is still one order of magnitude greater than conventional energy sources (Emphasis added)

May 10, 2013 - What's Happened to Andrea Rossi and his E-Cat? Yesterday (May 7) Sterling D. Allan of PESN and Frank Acland of E-CatWorld conducted a one and a half hour interview with Andrea Rossi hosted by Gary Hendershot on his Smart Scarecrow service regarding developments in the E-Cat technology based on the cold fusion technology called “LENR” for Low Energy Nuclear Reaction. SmartScarecrow has chat room where people could post questions, several of which were presented to Rossi during the show. At its peak, there were just over 1000 people listening to the live broadcast, which began at 4:30 pm Eastern time (GMT-5), with nearly 200 people in the live chat. The conversation while on YouTube is audio only. Rather than sit through over an hour and half here is a brief summary.

May 9, 2013 - What Do They Know at Ecat.com? [Updated] A couple of intriguing tweets have shown up over the last two days on the Ecat.com Twitter feed. Actually there are only two tweets in the whole account, so it looks like it was set up only recently. Here’s what they say:

May 3, 2013 - E-Cat Shipping Pictures Posted on the JONP Here are links to the pictures just posted on the Journal of Nuclear Physics.

April 29, 2013 - What's Happening on April 30th? [Updated (again)] I’ve seen some speculative comments in various places about what might be happening on April 30th with regards to the E-Cat, and I thought it would be useful to try and nail down as much as is possible from what Andrea Rossi has said about what exactly going on.

April 26, 2013 -Pending 3rd Party Validators As the third party validation is pending public release, it felt appropriate to go a little back in time to the beginning of 2013 to follow-up on the 3rd party test and try and gather more info on the people involved in the test. This is of great concern to many who follow the development of Mr. Rossi’s technology, especially because The 3rd party validation is basically seen as a “papal blessing” before commercial Hot Cat availability. The hopes surrounding the validation report run high, but there is a certain amount of trepidation surrounding the event, as well.

April 12, 2013 - Defkalion lying low, preparing for some big splashes Defkalion is tackling around 20 major applications of their LENR reactor through contracts with several licensees, including some major players. Price point expected to be around 1/10 of what we presently pay for power. First product expected by second quarter 2014. Public reactor demo expected for NI Week in August.

October 14, 2012 - Reflections on the Pordenone Hot Cat Report The reports coming out of the Pordenone conference, along with the data from Rossi himself indicate to me there is something very important afoot with E-Cat technology. The biggest surprise is that after Rossi has been repeating the mantra of COP 6 for so long, he presents data showing a minimum COP of almost double that. There are still...

October 1, 2012 - October 1 Q&A With Andrea Rossi Below are some questions I sent to Andrea Rossi today, along with his responses: 1. When do you expect to be creating electricity with the hot cat (Or have you already done so)? I HOPE 1 YEAR, MAYBE BEFORE 2. You have mentioned that certifiers do not approve of using the E-Cat to drive itself. How can you achieve...

September 25, 2012 - 'A Wonderful Work' [Updated] Andrea Rossi seems especially happy in his latest post on the Journal of Nuclear Physics: Dear Readers: We are making in Miami a wonderful work. We are raching tremendous results with the High temperature reactors. We will give the results as soon as possible, but I, honestly, think we are working well. The measurements are taken by the peer...

September 16, 2012 - New Interview with Aldo Proia, E-Cat Licensee The International Business Times has published a new interview with Aldo Proia, CEO of Prometeon srl, Italian Licensee for the E-Cat. Prioa covers much of the same ground that he has discussed in previous interviews, but there are some interesting points worth mentioning. When asked whether he is sure of the E-Cat’s validity, he says that he has never...

September 13, 2012 - Andrea Rossi Makes Available Safety Certificate from SGS I have just received the following document from Andrea Rossi which is titled Voluntary Certificate of Compliance With Safety of Directive 2006/42/EC (Annex 1) The certificate records that it has been issued for the E-Cat 1 MW. He tells the story of how in early experimentation with...

August 30, 2012 - E-Cats Large and Small Andrea Rossi is all over the map now with his E-Cat plans. We have been learning about plans for barrel-sized 1 MW plants; now there’s something else in the works. Rossi said yesterday, “We will test soon reactors very small (2-300 watts of power). For the future, not for short term sales.” He clarified later that he meant 200-300...

August 28, 2012 - Certifiers Won't Allow E-Cats to Run on E-Cat Power An interesting comment from Andrea Rossi yesterday reveals something of the role that those involved in certifying the E-Cat products are having on the design and development of E-Cat units. To be commercially viable, Leonardo Corp. needs to get its products into the marketplace, and in order to do so must gain safety approval from bodies that certify products...

August 25, 2012 - Rossi: Certification of Industrial E-Cats Complete Andrea Rossi has mentioned lately that certification process of the industrial strength E-Cat plants has been underway — now he says the process has been completed. Here’s the Q & A on the Journal of Nuclear Physics The last several months you have been very upbeat about two issues in your comments on this website. 1. That it soon...
